Really good first date ideas? Or what's the best first date you've ever been on?

Let's give the good people of GaG some ideas for the ever-important, nerve-wracking, who knows what will happen, butterflies in stomach first date!

Have you ever been on a really awesome, memorable first date? Spill the beans, might give someone a great idea.

Have you had a plan in mind for ages and never managed to put it in motion, let us have it! Someone might be able to use it themselves.

Let's get some positivity going here, a nice chamber of lovely ideas that will brighten someone's day.

My favorite was a night at the local tea house. Obviously not everyone has one of these and ours was super special as it was a little family run place who had lived in India for years and decided to bring their teas and goodies to the town they lived in. They had a basket you could pic your tea from and then they would bring each person an individual pot with the tea loose in inside. Then you poured in to a strainer over your mug and it would catch all the tea before it got to your mug. I loved the place and my ex and I are there several times before we broke up. They closed right after too so it is a loses memory.

For me, I would think coffee, picnic, lunch, maybe something interactive like meauseum and other exhibit things where you can talk about things. However hats only if your interests are aligned on it.

Maybe if you've know each other for a while a hike or something like that. More interactive dates maybe something as odd as pottery painting could be fun.

These are just some fun low pressure ideas. I don't think dinner I'd the best idea it seems to high pressure lunch seems a safer bet. I feel like low pressure is important to give a more relaxed atmosphere to make it easier to get to know each other.

I haven’t had an ideal first date but my ideal first date would be an autumn or summer walk along a hiking trail followed by a $12.00 pasta dinner at an Italian restaurant and a night of photographing land marks after that, where I live, there isn’t much to photograph, but there might be more stuff if we drive to an area with more lights and safety.

My favorite date was when he took me to an aquarium. We were able to just wander and talk, and point out things that were interesting! Much better than a movie, were you don't even really talk to each other...

1. To big of an investment for someone you may not be interested in.
2. Constant interuptions from waiter/waitresses breaking conversation flow
3. 1st dates should be designed to increase length of stay resturants are designed to reduce length of stay an create high customer turnover
4. Privacy -You're probably going to be sitting in close proximity to people you dont know which may cause one or both people on the date to become more reserved.
5. Vunerability - I tell younger guys 28- 16 that they should never take a woman to a restaurant on a first date because it's very hard to tell if the woman is just using them for a free meal and most men of that age are not in strong financial situations.

First date should be something fun, interactive and not crazy expensive.

My list of first date ideas are as follows:

1.) Minigolf

2.) Zoo

3.) Arcade

4.) Bar for drinks and to play darts or pool

5.) Walk in the park

6.) Amusement park

7.) Lazer tag

8.) Paintball

9.) Picnic

I always asked girls to dinner for first dates. A restaurant with good food and a nice atmosphere that isn't super expensive. I wouldn't go crazy and spend a lot of money on a first date because I don't even know how well we will click.

Another option, although I never did it on a first date, is to bring a blanket, a refined/cultured but simple and not too expensive picnic, and a bottle of wine with glass wine glasses, to a botanical garden.

i am pretty much out of ideas. There are dates too expensive for first dates (dinner date, coffee date) and there are dates, that are too "cheap" or boring (libraries, cinemas, museums). Its very Hard to find something in between if its not going to a park or a mall. Beach, trampolines and bowling would be my suggestions.

One of the best first dates I had was when both of us suddenly got horny in the middle of a nice dinner at restaurant and could hardly wait to get home, Was not planned or expected but was awesome and hot!

going miniature golfing is a great date. no skill and making fun of each other when it takes you forever to get into a hole.

just getting pizza and beer together or like smoking a joint and going on a nature walk together. If you have chemistry already a date shouldn’t have to be complicated.
