What’s a good first date idea?

It kinda depends on how well you know the person you are going out with. But assuming you haven’t ever met in person or don’t know each other very well. The whole point of a first date is to do just that. Get to know each other, see if you are compatible, and if a second date is worth pursuing. Ideally in a safe, comfortable environment. Somewhere relatively public with plenty of parking but quiet enough that you can have a conversation without having to shout.

First date with my girlfriend, we met at Yogurtland and let things progress naturally from there.

in my opinion first dates should be simple and carefree. You are meeting for the first time even if you met before this is a romantic context. So pick a public place like a coffeehouse or a park and get to know each other. After that you can plan longer dates
