If she told you that she wants the day for herself, then give her this courtesy and don't disturb her with text, calls or social media. Give her the time she needs and wants for herself.

Next day, don't text her first thing in the morning but wait at least till noon or better till evening. Like that you indicate that you respect her wish to be alone and to sort out her thoughts.

And when you text her, don't ask her where she was and what she did. Leave her to tell it to you on her own. If she does not answer your text, don't insist as it would indicate that you are pushy. Let her slowly come back to you.
