Girls, do you ever consider men who do cooking and other house chores as a plus point?

I know perhaps all of you will say yes. Girls love guys like that and all.

But in reality, I have always seen the opposite. Women love taking care of their guys and love those men more who can't cook or clean. Most of the guys I know cannot cook or ever did any housework in their life. At my age, many of them got married and got into many relationships before. Their girls take care of all the cooking and cleaning parts. They even tell publicly that they love taking care of their guys.

On the other hand, I have never seen a single woman in my life who gets excited about men doing cooking for her or house chores in a relationship.

I am starting to feel like being ignorant about them in the future will be more efficient for my dating life.

My husband helps me clean when I get overwhelmed, or when we were just really busy and I don't have much time to clean. If I'm ever out and he gets home before I do, a lot of times he will do some cleaning by himself as well. And when I'm not feeling good he cooks for us, or sometimes we just cook together anyway. It's a huge help, and I really appreciate him for that.

It’s something I expect myself. If a grown adult can’t cook for himself I view it as a problem. And then standard housekeeping is also expected. Basically I look at a relationship as a partnership I’m supposed to be his partner not his surrogate mother. So for me helping with the housework and cooking is a plus.

He cooks sometimes and helps out with other things. But he works really hard and earns a lot more than I do so I'm not gonna complain.
