Girls, is there a minimum required height for you to consider dating a guy?

I am 5' 9" and that is very average for an adult Caucasian male in the US. I have been rejected by a few girls who were taller then me. It was a bummer but I survived. Most of the girls I have dated have been 5' 0" to 5' 2" but I have dated a few girls who were 5' 8" - 5' 9".

I hear short guys on this site whining about how girls all want a guy who is at least 6' 0" tall and it souds like nonsense to me. Sounds like butthurt boys looking for an excuse! Think about it: if girls refused to date guys shorter than 6' 0", then that means that 85% of all guys would NEVER have a date. You know that's not the way it really is.

I believe that SOME girls are size queens about a guy's height, just like SOME guys refuse to date a girl smaller than 36D, but thse are just outlier lunatics. But YOU aren't a lunatic, so do you have a height requirement for guys you date? (And if you post a comment, can you please state your height?)

I’m 4’11 1/2” tall (don’t forget that half inch!). I don’t believe I’ve ever known an adult man shorter than me, let alone dated one. I never had a height preference when dating. Some women may have a height preference when dating but I’ve never known one who expressed such a preference. Most of the guys who go on about how they’re SOL because “women want six footers and taller” I think use it as an excuse to cover what makes them really unappealing. Height is only an issue for me if a guy is over 6’10” and dead, then casketing can be a problem.

You're right, it is a lie. A lot of us prefer someone our height or taller than us, but that doesn't mean you need to be 6 ft. Two things you can take from this. A girl who is 5'3 would prefer someone who is 5'3 or taller, so 5'4, as long as you're taller. And the second thing. It's a preference. That means that being shorter isn't a dealbreaker.

As for me... I like to feel tall, so you don't have to be taller than me. 5'4 is good enough.

I don't have a height requirement. I was dating someone who I thought was shorter than me (my boots are high i guess), but it turned out he was 2 inches taller 🤷🏾‍♀️

The guys on this site who say that are dumb. All of my friends who say that they want a guy 6'0 all end up perfectly happy with men who are shorter than that. Girls SAY shit all the time. In reality they're not going to reject someone they really like and built a connection with just because he's shorter than the models you see on tv.

i don't care about height at all. my boyfriend is 6'2" (i think) but i have dated guys around my height before.

it turned out, they had a much bigger problem with not being that much taller than me. one even wanted me to stop wearing high heels around him and that's when i stopped seeing him.

i think the men on here who whine about height requirements probably fuck up their dating chances themselves. their questions are always filled with such ire towards women that it's no wonder they can't get a date or find a girlfriend. i wouldn't want to be with someone who hates me either.

I don't judge anyone for their height, and I'm really short (I'm 4'10''). I date a guy not because of their height but that they check off three things
1. They're mature, respectful, and have self love (I categorized these things as one request)

2. They're honest

3. They're funny ( My ideal guy is one who cracks good jokes)

If he checks off these three things, I'll consider him a keeper. Just one rule I don't want broken-- I PAY FOR THE DATES! NO EXCEPTIONS! I want the man man to feel both appreciated and loved so, I'd rather pay for the date.

I'd say it's more of preference than a requirement. I'm 5'3" and I prefer a guy taller than I am. I dated someone with the same height and I would end up being taller with heels. I just prefer someone taller so I can bury my face on his chest when we hug and get a whiff oh his scent.

I'm 173 cm (≈5'8). My boyfriend is 176 cm (≈5'9). I don't really care about height, but I also like a lot of women just like feeling like "the smaller one", as shallow as that sounds. He doesn't have to be taller than me, just bigger 😂.. I'm not big though, I'm 55 kg (≈121 lbs)

I said 5’10 but if I really liked someone I guess that could change… I don’t know how tall the guys are around me but I’d say a bit taller than them is nice? I’m 5’7 for the record without shoes so 5’8 in shoes… ideally I’d prefer 6’1 or above but it’s not a toxic set in stone thing

well I would rather not a guy shorter than me by 16 inches more or less, not taller than me by 12 more or less. technically, I do have that requirement even though I think a good chuck of the male population fits those requirements anyways.

Must be at least 180 cm but I truly would prefer him to be over 188 cm. I'm 171 cm. Also I'm a 34E and skinny so guys cannot really complain about my requirement.
