My ex say he can' t have a normal life now, he is a lost in love so he is not even trying with me but he still wants to see me. Why?

I honestly think probably he’s insecure about himself and found a security in you… since you’re not more together, he probably feel lost so he search for you as a stable point. But because you’re not anymore together, he maintains his distance… very pitiful.

Yes he is insecure he said that he is not rich, not beautiful... he is a loser of his family cause his cousins and sister are really succesful but I love him the way he is and I tell him that

You’re doing your part, but I think sincerely he needs a boost of self esteem. Have you maybe tried to compliment him for things he does? Per example if he prepares lunch you can compliment him for what he prepared.. it’s only a silly example, I’m sure there are other and more proper situation to do so.

He’s really insecure and has self esteem issues.. I think you can help him and if you’re convinced you can restore your relationship, since you two seem to appreciate a lot each other. Maybe he has some depression incoming, you can help motivating him and giving him love and respect and a bit of courage.
