I was out with a woman for the first time who became particularly rude, and I was tempted to excuse myself "to use the restroom" and simply not come back leaving her with the check. I didn't because I wasn't certain if I could be arrested for this or not. I wish I had done it.

I've done that before. How can you be arrested for her being too cheap to not bring her own money? Or do you mean, you didn't pay for your own food? When I did it, I paid up front at the check-out area, blocked her number, and just left. Didn't give it any mind.

LOL I did this unintentionally on a first date. I was 20 minutes late because I had had to work late for the first time EVER at this job. So I also hadn't had time to go home and get cleaned up. We had drinks and appetizers, then my gut started rumbling and I had to rush off to the restroom for 20 minutes of fireworks. When I finally returned to the table she had left and paid the check. I don't know if she just got disgusted and left or thought that's what I had done. Didn't have the nerve to call her and find out.

Don't make an enemy when you don't have to. Women behave poorly on dates. They behave this way because of social media. You have no value to them. Just take the high road, be gracious and a good host. Make an excuse to leave and pay the check. Don't ever take a woman on a date. Fuck women for sure but don't pay for their food and entertainment. If you want to pay a woman, pay a prostitute.

Not really. In California, the restaurant is legally prohibited from doing that, and besides, she would have been stuck with the bill.
