I suppose it is none of my business what other people do but I do get irritated when I see others getting taken advantage of.

But as for me personally, my age gap has more to do with maturity level than any solid number. I couldn't date someone who didn't have the experience in life needed to appreciate the finality of things. Or someone who was still growing in ways that assumes mystique in others. If it is a strictly sexual relationship, I mean whatever, but to stand to exclusively date someone they need to be passed a lot of the uncertainties of youth but also young enough that I find them attractive. Like I say there is no set number but in general this is within about 5 years of my age.

I am 35 and my girlfriend is 19. My ex was 22 when I was 32. And my ex before that was 18 when I was 31.

Most of my casual encounters were girls 18-25 in my late twenties and 30s.

Age gaps are freaking awesome! You won't catch me with an older woman ever.

I only want to date someone within 10 years older or within 2 years younger than me. I'm 26. Though I prefer older men, I don't want a man who is too old simply because I want someone I can grow old with. You can't grow old with someone who is already old. You don't want to turn 40 then find yourself married to a grandpa signing up for AARP. Quite often , people who marry significantly older tend to end up regretting it at some point. These marriages tend to have higher divorce rates, less resilient in times of financial stress, and see bigger declines in marital satisfaction.

Yeah I’m definitely deranged because I’m pretty sure I avoid older men based on a personal vendetta despite the fact that the idea is appealing. .

I know I know I have some self discovering to do because damn, desire really is hardcore stuff. It’s isn’t that I WANT and would like an older man, the feeling is just there.

I don't do age gaps anymore. I would date someone within the same age-group as me (5-6 years older, 10 max if there's a connection and common interests). I used to talk to a guy 25 years older than me. At first, everything was like a fairytale, he seemed very sweet, nice. Then I started finding out some stuff I didn't like so much about him, he tried to control and manipulate me.

When you're dating someone much older than you, there's a big power imbalance in the relationship.. Being treated with respect and not as an object, sex doll is really important to me

I feel like as long as the older person isn't dating someone less than 15 years older than their kids and the younger person isn't dating someone older than their parents, it's ok. Also, as long as the older person didn't know the younger person as a kid, to me it's fine. If the older person knew them when they were underaged, that's pedo shit in my opinion because you were waiting for it to be legal to have sex with them.

My current age: no older than 21 (a 16-17 year old can date, oldest, 24). In my 20s: No older than 40. Hopefully I won't be looking for someone in my 30s but if I was, than I'd look for someone my age or younger.
