Why Does A Woman Disable Private Messaging on Dating Sites?

I'm a paid member on POF and there are a lot of women who disable messaging so there is no way to contact her except sending her a "like." Yet, in her profile description she says she thinks it cheap and cowardly for a man to send her a "like" instead of messaging her. I don't get it.

When a woman fills out her profile on a dating site she may believe that men sending her "likes" is a cowards way and says so in her profile. When she publishes her profile she gets overwhelmed with men emailing her. So she disables messages and may even walk away from the site for a while because it's too much. If your bitching about dating sites then don't join.
