Real Japanese Sushi, Real Italian (not Olive Garden - no date if he wants Olive Garden) French, Tapas, aged steakhouse? seafood overlooking the water).
Those bread sticks though at Olive Garden with a side of Alfredo OH YEAH
I really think you cannot go wrong with high quality seafood. Most of the time it’s considered fine dining (not McDonald’s Filet o’ Fish) and it’s pretty neutral as far as aftertaste, breath afterwards and easy on the stomach.
My favorite date food is, well, dates. After all, it is date food - food made from dates.
I like sandwiches but I would choose pasta because it takes more time to eat so you sit longer and talk more.

Think of that date scene on White Chicks
There’s tons of good taco and Mexican joints in our neck of the woods. Combine it with a nice German beer and it’s a great night. Even for us old couples :-)
Theme park seasoned fat fries. I remember them being popular in teen years. We’d all have season passes and would sometimes go just for the fries and toss in a couple rides.
I chose sushi, but I'm totally down for anything. Trying new foods is fun too. Especially if they never tried it either. 😊
Burgers may be a beer. However if I am cooking I like making pastas. My specialty is a light pasta with a marsala sauce with grilled veggies and chicken.
I know a seafood place that is right on the water that has an amazing seafood platter. If I wanted to really impress a date I would take her there.
Assuming she likes it, sushi is a great DATE food. You can share with each other and even feed each other.
Sushi, homemade Italian, or, pizza …but I feel like he’d find me weird if we ate pizza together since I’m allergic to cheese and sometimes I get my pizza custom made so I don't know I’ll skip that option lol.

never been on a date but i'm not picky when it comes to food
I'm really indecisive so i'll just go with whatever he wants
anything that isn't messy so i dont embaress myself somehow
Probably pizza. As much as I love wings I see wanting to eat them on a date
Out of this list, tapas would be, but where I'd take her would depend entirely on finding a cuisine that we both enjoy. Fast food or casual dining establishments won't cut it.
Nachos! Or sloppy joes!
Something messy; the messier the better. Nachos are better cuz they’re messy and a shareable plate. You can learn a lot about someone when you’re sharing a messy meal.
All the above. But also free pub food. Haven't been to the pub in ages, but when I used to go we would buy something like a gin tonic and they'd bring like 4 plates of nibbles. It's not the healthiest but it's free.
Chinese food spaghetti and meatballs pizza the cheesecake factory etc. etc.
Pasta and sandwiches like at a deli. Maybe salad but I don't know cause you know you can get lettuce stuck in your teeth
The Missus and I have a favourite that relates to our ''beginnings'':
It's my home made noodle salad with sausages. Taken as a picnic on the beach.
Tbh I don't like eating on dates I don't know why it just feels weird (unless its a special dinner)
So ig I would say sushi. Its my favorite there and the easiest to eat politely
Call me old fashioned, but date food should be an a la carte french restaurant and nothing less. Burgers and beers is for when you know you're definitely going together and it's the third date before the sex.
