Started texting a guy who is doing a PhD at university and he said he is very busy with it, is he hinting he is too busy for me?

I recently started texting a guy I met (I initiated). I asked him about his hobbies and he texted back saying he’s very busy with his PhD and he hasn’t got the time for hobbies. I’m not sure if he’s hinting that he doesn’t have the time for me🤭 what do you think?

Take it at face value. PhD is not a joke. It has nothing to do with you. At this point in time, his studies to him will be the most important thing in his life. He will most likely have no time for dates either. He will probably even socialise less than he used to. So trade very carefully. A man who is working on his life goals is a man who can never priorities a woman until he achieves that goal.
