I've met a girl on instagram and we have been texting for some time, i asked her if she wants to meet in real life and she said yes but asked me if she can bring a friend. I replied yes. Whats the reason behind this, is she just scared or she doesn't want to make it a date?

It means she will feel much more safe and comfortable if her friend comes along. I take it this is the first meeting. That can be dangerous for a girl to go by herself having no idea what is waiting her. Surely, you can understand how girls are often tricked and end up raped or whatever.

With a friend there, she will have a level of comfort from that. Also, it may allow her to feel more comfortable and open up more. I see nothing wrong with that request and it doesn't mean it isn't a date at all.

Get past that first mini group date and if things go well, you are good to go on a one on one date with her is what I bet. Good call saying yes. Look at it also as an opportunity to meet someone she feels close to and what that person is like as well.

I mean I'm not sure because I was talking to a girl friend once and she was like "this guy keeps texting me to see him and I don't want to really, if I end up doing it I'll take a friend with me so it won't be a date and nothing happens", so I'm not sure man depends on how much she knows you, maybe give her a pass the first time but second time if it ain't just the 2 of you ditch her she's just there for the attention and to not get bored
