No, not exactly. Falling in love is different from finding someone attractive. You can be attracted to someone’s looks, but how can you know their personality at one glance? Looks are deceiving. A person could put on a nice person act and then turn out to be complete shit once you get to know them.

Attraction is one step towards getting to know someone (romantically). If you are attracted to them, you will go on a date with them, and then you’ll get to know them, and you’ll judge if your long term goals and values match to emotionally bond with them.

Although, it is quite possible to develop a crush/lust after someone just by their looks. You don’t need to get to know them to crush on them. Love is miles different though. You would do anything for that person and you’re ready to share your life with them. Cannot say the same for a stupid crush - though, there are a few instances where it has developed into something more.

I dont know what love (non-platonic) feels like so I don't know. I knew a girl for 6 years before going absolutely bonkers over her, but I still think it was infatuation cuz we never talked below surface. Rose colored glasses, etc. Not really sure what changed
