When dating and meeting new people, how do you differentiate between someone who is shy/socially awkward and someone who is playing games?

Honestly I don't bother with anyone who seems like either. I wanted a mature person who's able to navigate through social situations like a capable adult.

When someone who’s shy or socially awkward they normally have difficulty expressing how they feel or their personal goals, detail about themselves but can be fine chatting about things that don’t matter to them or to people they have built relationships with over a number of months or years.

Someone who is playing game will act shy but body language is a give away. Shy people fiddle or fidget when uncomfortable or have other tells, confident people won’t.
