I swear infrequently. My posts are a fair indication of my regular amount of swearing, which is to say you won't see it a lot, but it's not non-existent. I am not offended by swear words, but I find their overuse to be an affectation that is similar to stuttering or always saying the same thing "y'know", "like", "um".
So if someone says, "I went to the fucking store and this fucking guy is fucking squeezing all the fucking grapefruits and I'm like um wtf is this fucking guy like a fucking fruit connoisseur or a fucking pervert wtf I don't fucking know." it's not that my ears or my values are offended or taken aback, it's more that I feel the person is not good at talking without filler. It's the same as if they said:
"I went to the ummm store and this ummmm guy is ummmmm squeezing all the ummmm grapefruits and I'm ummm like ummmmm is this ummmmm guy like an ummmm fruit connoisseur or an ummmm pervert ummmm I don't know."It's definitely not a turn ON.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/ThEAO0lt4DwSpeaking of uhhh ummms, I remember in a Speech 101 class we had to give a lot of speeches, and this one guy got up and said um, uh, so much by the end of the speech I was literally chewing on my tongue to keep from laughing. I felt so bad for him, I wasn't being mean, it was just too much. I couldn't even hear his speech, all I hear was each "uh".
Back to swearing, I would say I probably average about 2-3 swear words every couple thousand words or so. I might go several days without a swear word. It also depends on my company and environment. I can also start swearing a lot if I'm at some bro-fest or college party, it's somewhat of an adaptation thing. People tend to be like each other without even realizing it, and I think that's how some people end up swearing all the time, actually. I also subconsciously eliminate swearing entirely when around children or certain groups.

Tbh I don't swear much apart from at video a game or something. But when I do it's not a biggie it's just a word if someone wants to deem them swear words and find them more offensive for no reason that's their opinion.
It's not unattractive nor is it attractive words are just words. However it's unattractive if a person cannot make a sentence without one like it would be with anything, aka when you use "Like" but wrongly with every sentence been "Like I don't sweat much." you know what I am about lol. If you use "like" wrongly a couple times shrugs.
You do something all the time well habits as such become annoying as hell.
My parents of course like any typical ones taught me not to swear so I never did around them apart from my mother after they split up I swore sometimes if mad in front of her however my dad never saw this.
One day I was around 18 I just said fuck by accident or something and ever since then we've sworn in front of each other though again rare.
When I think about it a woman swearing is attractive to me so nvm lol. While it's still true all that I said there is this perspective a woman swearing could possibly show a lack of worrying and stepping on eggshells around words thinking she needs to act proper or some other bullshit, which I am way more attracted to a woman who is comfortable and saying what she wants.
Barely. But the way I say it isn't offensive. For example I say "badass" or use "shit" instead of "poo".
I don't really swear when insulting people except myself duh lol. I still only use those two minor ones.
For me if someone swears in every sentence it's gonna piss me off.
Some people are like "Holy f***ing shit. This is so f***ing good!"
I swear i just wanna smack them.
I cuss whenever I think it's necessary also if you cuss like a sailor I definitely would not date ya

It's one of my few vices, but I am pretty good about knowing the time and place. In private among my friends, I don't filter myself much, but I definitely keep a lid on it at work.
I kind of have the same expectation for my girl - I'm fine if she cusses in private, alone or with friends, but she needs to rein it in around family and work/customers, or other places it's not appropriate. If she doesn't cuss publicly at all, that's OK too - but no clinical terms in the bedroom - dirty words are mandatory in the bedroom.- u
I don't swear or cuss that much, sometimes and with some people I don't do it all... with my parents, family and relatives for example... I never do, lol
because my parents never ever have, for some reason I never do it in Spanish, I just don't like at all... but in English I do it sometimes when it is fit, among friends only
very similar to what I do here at G@G with my posts and stuff
now, just because I don't do it much myself it does not mean that it is a turn off for me, I don't mind it at all, I don't dislike it, it doesn't offend me... and many people I know do cuss and swear a lot, friends and relatives alike
and I don't mind it because for many people it is something very natural and casual, and some are even quite hilarious with it, it is part of their "personality" or their background and you can usually tell there are no bad intentions either, is just the way they express themselves
there are of course a few extreme exceptions, lol... that's something I don't like, but those are very few people here and there I'm not afraid of words so, I don't care if someone swears, as long as they don't do it CONSTANTLY!! I have a friend that says some form of the word "fuck" almost every other word!! That's too much!! I don't mind his use of the word it's just that hearing it constantly in a short span of time is annoying after just a moment or two of it. It'd be the same with any word.
Bob, where did you go last night?
Fucking we fucking went to the fucking store and fucking bought some fucking whipped fucking cream and some fucking Pop Tarts and fucking, fucking, fucking [he's trying to think of what to say next] went fucking back to fucking her fucking place..." You get the idea.
As for me, nobody's here to hear me so, I can swear as much as I like but, I usually only do it if I'm pissed off or if I'm just using it for emphasis in a normal discussion. Usually, especially in polite company, I don't swear much at all, even when others are swearing up a storm around me. I just don't need to all the time.
I am from the school of creative cursing :) Under certain circumstances I will run a blue streak of epithets that will usually have most of those within earshot laughing a bit.
You may also not hear a swear word from me for days... just depends.
Don't mind if others do... as I was once told... “I don't swear just for the hell of it. Language is a poor enough means of communication. I think we should use all the words we've got. Besides, there are damn few words that anybody understands."Can't say it's a turn on when a female cusses, except in a sex environment. I cuss, but generally only when annoyed and by and large not in public.
Incidentally and I'd like an American opinion on this. I rarely cussed before I moved to America but I was shocked how often Americans cussed in everyday conversation. This became such a norm that I started cussing more. Just general conversation had the 'F' word in every other sentence. Since I came back to the UK I cuss more. It wasn't just guys in bars. The girlfriend cussed in front of her kids, the neighbour, friends who I considered middle class (bank managers etc) dropping the 'f' bomb in conversation.
It isn't a sweeping statement and I am sure most Americans aren't potty mouths lol Just an observation.
So I cuss, how often depends on the audience. My friends, I cuss every other sentence. Around my family maybe once or twice a day, and that more or less by accident. At work it depends if its Leonor's telework day or not, if she is in the office not very often.
But at the end of the day I don't really trust people that don't cuss. It hypocritical because from my experience with these types it is true they never cuss, but these types were some of the worst types of people I have met. They will look you in the eye and say one thing, but mean another and act like that's not lying.Only when I’m really mad or I’m dirty talking. For the most part, swearing for no reason just means some people don’t have a good vocabulary. It’s like how kids laugh at words like when they hear poop or penis.
Some people will also swear because they want others to be angry and incite violence.
Words have meaning, but it’s up to an individual to give it power. For example, some random racist was swearing at me next to a bus stop. One could yell back, but ignoring these types is the better option because we don’t need to be at their level.I cuss a lot. That’s from my father who cusses a lot and then I started working in a male dominated industry, it seems like f—k is a preposition and adjective of many sentences, sometimes it’s a sentence by itself. I’m capable of not using them. It depends on the environment and what I’m doing.
I swear more than the big labousky, but in front of woman i clean up my language as a gesture of respect. That said if she had a sailors toungue ill go back to sweawring around her cause if you are both frequent swearers and you both know it than as long as you dont swear at each other, fuck it 🤣
What the fuck are you talking about? 😂
I curse kinda a lot. I try to keep it at a minimum but they slip out sometimes (a lot)
I think cursing too much is not just unattractive, it's unmanly so I don't mind someone who curses a lot, but a woman who curses as much as me is definitely a slight turn off. Not because I think women shouldn't curse, moreso because of how ridiculous we would sound together cursing like sailors. Haha
I'm working on it though.
It depends on who I’m speaking with and who can hear my sentences.. if I’m speaking with myself I swear a lot.
It helps really to relieve the pain when I hit myself accidentally (example if I classically hit my foot little finger with the angle of a furniture).
Usually if I speak with friends I use to swear a bit since it’s common use here, so it’s not perceived as a vulgar thing but I NEVER swear at work, with relatives or with people who can judge me or doesn’t know me.Today I decided to clean the house and said f$#@ four times cause the trash wouldn't get in the bin.
Last week it was raining extra heavy when I got to work and I started cursing in Polish. I also curse in polish as part of my rode range
I curse 16 times yesterday
When I turned 18 my mom told me that I needed to start cussing or people would think I was less of a man. And I agree to that at a certain level. That being said I tend to swear less in formal events or in public places where other families may have a different attitude.
But I'm in the military so swearing at work is commonplace. If higher enlisted or officers came into our office I'd shut it down, but around my marines of same rank or lower I do it pretty often.I swear occasionally usually to add an exclamation to whatever I'm saying. It's something I can turn off and on pretty easily depending who I'm talking to. It's not a problem to me unless the person I'm with doesn't get polite conversation vs. Casual conversation.
Fucking motherfucking hell yeah! Goddamn fucking a lot. If I getting owned in an online match, I’m like, “what the fucking hell?” Also, if I getting owned, and don’t understand how my character deceased. “How the fuck is that possible?” The fucking reason why I used oaths is because Hulu Plus, and Netflix don’t got a large variety of good old TV shows to watch on there.
lol Apparently saying "GROSS" on a post is an offensive cuss word so I must cuss a lot because that butthurt loser commie mod took down my opinion. I know who it is though, they're just upset I hate commies & think they should move to North Korea..
Neither of us swear in front of the children. If I do swear, I am severely upset about the situation or problem I am dealing handling at that moment. Never in front of the children though.
It’s a massive turn off for both of us.I don't cuss in front of kids or the elderly - but there are a lot of elderly that use the word "fucker" a lot! I try to be polite to everyone, so I will use slang/cuss words in front of people I know very well.
Yeah, I do. I may swear rarely around people because they may not be comfortable with it... or i can't trust them. Sooo i'm black so I use it a way another black girl would use it... but with common sense of how to use it effectively xD
Once my son hit middle school I relaxed my 'no F bomb' policy around him.
