Overall I think it is. I do think hookups and instant gratification will become the new normal for both genders eventually if this keeps up.

Why do you think it’s killing off dating? I believe that most men are hooking up because they don’t want to sit around flirting with a girl to get her in bed. Most men just want sex. But I believe some part of it is also the women’s fault for enabling such acts. Women always sit around on tinder waiting for an ego boost and as a result they never improve. In other words they settle for less (the simps). As a result they never end up getting the high quality guy. They become low quality women.

This is how I see it. More men and women nowadays want instant gratification and more body counts so this is their way to increasing both. My generation is in on all of this. The minority who actually want long term commitment are just going to have to keep searching for the right person

I hear ya, but that's always been true to some degree I think... you'da had to have experienced some of the mega clubs and Singles only apartment complexes from the 70's and 80's to fully get it. But literally thousand unit complexes, no families or kids allowed... Splash day Saturdays where the pool sidewalks had rows of kegs of beer... it was a free for all. The methods are different but thegoals are the same...

Yes. Although I do have a boyfriend I still hook-ups with other men frequently, and before I got with him it was years since my last relationship. I'd just meet guys for sex, that's it. Many of my friends are similar.
