For a starting salary, or after a year or two, that's a pretty average wage.

Next step: can you put that money to work with income (or at least dividend) producing assets? If you save, sure you get some interest, but that is paltry.

It's a lot to owe, don't think its that much to have, to for some its years worth of work.

I am not sure what the cost of living in Canada is. Here in America that's a lot. Better than most 50 years olds.
