He had to cancel our date 30 minutes before; are these signs he is losing interest?

So I have been on 7 dates with this guy, but I wouldn't count the first two dates as it was a mix of us meeting one another and seeing if we click, so let us say we have been on 5 official dates so far.
Our dates have included Dinners, Bowling, Mini golfing, Board game cafes, movies and window shopping. I introduced a conversation card game to our date nights, which has helped us open up more, so everything has been going smoothly.

When he drops me off and gets him he texts me that he looks forward to the next date, he also texts me about 2-3 times a week to check in on my day and he has added me on facebook.

We haven't kissed, held hands or anything like that. I do initiate awkward car hugs anytime he drops me home lol.
This past week, I noticed after he texted me that he got home on Saturday evening ( August 13) and enjoyed our date; I responded that I also enjoyed the date and was looking forward to the next one, and he also agreed.

I did not hear from him until Thursday morning, during which we chatted a bit about the week and weekend ahead, and he asked me if I had any plans. He then texted me on Saturday morning checking in and said he was tired, so he didn't think he could go on a date in the evening but suggested we go on a Sunday morning brunch date.

So I agreed, and he said he would pick me up at 10 am, so around 9:30 am, he texted me that he was on his way and would get to my home by 10 am. That said, 10 minutes later, at 9:43 am, he texted me with a picture of his check light engine on at a solid orange saying that he might get to my home by 10:30 as he had to check it out.

I told him not to worry and take his time, and then at 9:49, he sent the following text:

Hey, I'm sorry, but I can't drive my car now. I took it to my parent's house, and they said that my car could stall or die on the road if I have a check engine light on. I'm sorry, but can we reschedule our date for another day? I'm sorry 😭

I'm 25, and he is 26.

He also sent me a text that we would definitely reschedule our data and apologized again lol.

Funny enough I had a dream that he had cancelled the date 30 minutes prior to me waking so I was shocked that this actually happened.

So basically he wasted his time and money on 7 pointless dates just so you can get you sweet free attention without giving anything back in return and now you fear that he's realising what a fool he is. For you he will always be a loser destined to give you attention and if this guy wants to be smart he will dump you for good and move on. Dating serves only the interests of women. Men get nothing out of it. Literally nothing.

We split the cost of all our dates; also, he said he wants to take things slow, so money is not a factor here.

Wether you split the cost or not makes no difference at all. This is all about you and pretending to be that special princess while he is the loser wasting his time and money for nothing.

Ok, so what would he expect in return after 7 dates; we both know we want a relationship out of this, so I'm a bit confused.
