I and this boy were going on a date after a noncontact period. He wrote and asked me first, but after I accept he said that we can meet another day during the week because he was so busy and apologized for that.

What the others said, but might I suggest nit referring to a grown man as "boy" comes off as condescending, although I don't think you meant it that way, your date will pick up on that.
