If my girl would call an other guy attractive in a non-flirty comforting way, I personally wouldn't mind.

However, don't say that if you don't believe it. Guys appreciate honesty. Maybe that's just what he needs to work on himself, become successful, go to the gym, etc.

It's okay to tell anyone that they are attractive if you find them attractive. You don't have to be in a relationship.
