Feeling inadequate if you date someone more attractive than you? Is that normal?

I just started dating a guy who is very attractive. Im decent looking but I feel like he's too hot to be with me. Is this normal? How can I feel better about this? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

Some of us guys actually prefer dating a girl who doesn't look like a supermodel or even perhaps someone who looks like we wouldn't consider them pretty enough for us. As for me. The two most important features is that the girl is generally a nice person and that she likes me. I want her and I to have fun together. Sex and physical attraction is a small part of life though an important one. But notice it's not at the top of my list. A nice smile goes a long way. A girl would only need to have one attractive or interesting physical feature for me to focus on and could look quite plain other than that. Your boyfriend may simply like YOU and not care about the sum of your body parts. Maybe he likes your cute face or your smile. Maybe he likes your hair. Perhaps he things you have a yummy butt. Most likely you have at least one feature he drools over and isn't noticing any of your physical flaws. Or perhaps you might be just a little bit too hypercritical of yourself and don't realize you look better than you think. Don't ask him to tell you things he doesn't like about you or where he thinks you could improve physically. That will open a can of worms you don't want opened. Instead ask him about what he considers your one or two best physical features and what he likes about them. Oh and don't forget to do the same with him.

My girlfriend would say the same about me. I don't really think about it that way. I think you just have to realize that looks are subjective, and that for some people looks just aren't a huge priority in dating.

It's a normal feeling for guys to have but not females. Females always believe they deserve better which is why they always aim to trade up, no female sits and wonders if her man is too good for her because she's still thinking "I could still get a better guy"
