Am I perfectionist?

My collegaue told me that i was perfectionist because i told her that one of the qualities that i want from a guy is emotional and mentally stable.

It´s perfectionistic if you demand a guy to be mentally and emotionally stable in every situation but looking for a guy who´s like that in normal day life should be the premise for a relationship.

Because if a guy isn´t content with his life and who he is he´s not capable of having a healthy relationship.

I'd say you're more of a contradictionist. Mostly because the most emotional guys tend to be the least mentally stable.

But from your update if what you meant is that you want a guy with emotional stability AND mental stability--that's not too tough to find. Although, you won't find it amongst the mangina set that's become more common these days. What you're looking for is a classical man who's steeped in the traditional Stoic virtues.
