    With some things yes..
But with most things not at all.. I think this attitude just leads to disappointmenf , and for sure you don't want to be that way in Thailand.

Yes, to the point that I may start several projects, take much longer than initially planned and leave them on hold for way too long. Sounds contradictary, but it isn't really.

I'm trying to see the whole picture and at the same time pay attention to the smallest details.

As you can probably appreciate with my line of employment you need to be over and above being a perfectionist... In many ways, over the years, this has slowly crept into my normal everyday life.

How about your goodself @thegreenyogi xxx

@EmmaMary I agree that with certain lines of work a certain level of perfectionism is required and inevitably in becomes part of you. When I was younger I used to expect only the best from myself and if I didn't achieve a perfect result I'd beat myself up over it metaphorically speaking. As I grew I developed a form of disattachment meaning that I don't seek perfection. Rather I seek to find ways to make something unique spending more time on the details rather than the result to make whatever I want to achieve rich with form and creativity. Hope it makes sense. Yes, especially in my writing. I spend hours writing and re-writing stories that others might do in half the time or less.

No not really. In the sense that I don't obsess over things for them to be perfect. I'm more for creating details then perfection.

No, I learned a long time ago that perfection can never be achieved. That doesn't mean we settle for not trying our best, poor workmanship or whatever. It simply means that we accept things that are less than perfect.

Yes, but I find perfection in things like art, literature, music, technology, lifestyles, and nature.

Its a very attainable thing that doesn't require the anal ocd attentiveness that it gets lumped in with so often.

Yes, for those things that require perfection. Other things require "perfection", but to a lesser degree. Others that are over about 60 yo can likely relate.

I'd say more accurately I'm driven to not be complacent. It's not about perfection. It's about making full use of all God has blessed me with.
