Yes and no. I like things done well and properly. I hate half assed effort. But I'm also pragmatic and realize that chasing "perfection" which will never exist in the real world is a fool's errand. We need to realize that we can't waste unlimited time and resources trying to achieve some abstract concept of perfection. We need to make decisions and keep moving forward. And sometimes we just have to let stuff break.

Yes, I definitely can be when it comes to certain things. Luckily, I'm not one of those types that expect others to also want perfection. If I was, my dad and brothers would have put me in the nut house! I think they're the ones that basically taught me not to expect everyone to be crazy like I am 😂😂

My wife is a perfectionist. I'm not. As an engineer, I know that the world is not perfect, and attempts to make it perfect will always fail. My wife and I have interesting discussions sometimes. 😏

I always want a ‘certain quality’, though will not move Heaven and Earth to try to reach perfection so I guess not a perfectionist.

In certain things I am. Like when first learning a song I try to get not only note-for-note, but nuance-for nuance. Except if it's a Jeff Beck song. I'm realistic enough to know just getting it somewhat close will be a challenge.
