What does it mean when a guy says “I’m tired of being a convict, I want to change for you”?

Sounds like he's saying that "for you," he wants to change from being a "convict" (and presumably quit living a criminal lifestyle) because he cares about you so much.

He's saying "you make me want to be a better person and change my criminal ways".

The sentiment is admirable. But honestly, be careful with that...
