If they are a professional art thief they probably have class and culture sufficient to be convincing enough to get close. And presumably they have excellent taste in art😎 Thieves also tend to be non-violent and not particularly physically imposing. Obviously that’s not always the case, but when your craft is stealth versus force it tends to work out that way.
