If someone asks for your number but doesn’t text much, are they not into you?

Sometimes it takes over 20 hours to hear a reply back. I understand a busy schedule but still a little strange.

Yeah, recently I connect with women on line... sent her an ice break message she, read it and let it sit on read. Two weeks later she replies, "blah, blah, blah... would like to get to know you better." I replay with "blah, blah, blah... that would be great."

She reads it the same day and lets it sits for 48 hours, so I reply with "I will assume it was something I said, but I wish you the best of luck... lol :)" I forget about her... a few days later maybe a week or less... she replies with "I am sorry, life is really busy right now, but I will get back to you later." I reply with "No worries take your time, if your really interested I would love to learn more about you." This day 2 still no reply, but she read my last message the day of.

So basically she reads all my messages the day of and lets them sit for days, as being read and is toooooo busy to reply. I am not upset or angry about it, but obviously its a RED FLAG for a variety of reasons! But I will play a long, you never know it might lead to something, but I am not putting to much effort into it.

Back in the day, like for you way back, like the late 80's and 90's, before the internet and social media really took off... the standard rule was once you got a girl numbers you waited 2 days before calling her, as to not come off as too desperate or pushy. Then once you made contact with her the first time, you ask her out if you got a good vibe or you gave it 3 days before calling again if she did not call you back before. You did this again, as to not come off as being too needy or pushy. After the third call you either are meeting in person and dating or it was a lost cause, because by that time a week or two has pasted and she has had plenty of time to sort it out as to if she was willing to go out with you or not.

But even then it happened a lot faster, most times you got dates on the first call and if she said no that was the end of it.

Yeah no, if they take 20 hours to respond, they r not taking you seriously. They probably just want you in their dms. Someone who is interested in you is gonna at least try.

Chances are you should develop more interests.
