Because some women seem to like cheaters. That is why they repeatedly go for the same kind of guy over and over. Have you noticed that it isn't all the women in your life that get cheated on, but there will be a small number of them that repeatedly get into relationships and get cheated on by numerous partners over time? That is because some people don't learn from their mistakes and continually choose the same kind of person.

It is the same with some guys and getting ripped off by women. If it happens once and then he makes changes in how he approaches a relationship (insisting on a prenup for example) or looks for a different personality in a partner, that is a good decision, but if he is stupid and doesn't learn from his mistaken choice and chooses the same kinds of people again and again, then it is his own fault.

Basically, the people that make the same choices for a partner over and over are destined to be miserable.

If I were to cheat it would be because I was horny and my girlfriend or wife was not interested. Or at least that would open the door to cheating. Actually going through with it would require opportunity, which is substantially more rare than men being horny while in a relationship.

So, I suppose it suffices to say the reason men cheat is because an opportunity to do so presents itself.

Of course. But there are no men who cheat when the opportunity does not present itself.

And you could argue the same is true of women but opportunity isn't the "least common denominator" for women. They are swimming in opportunity. For women I suspect it's more about the desire for fresh companionship not just a need to get off.

For any number of reasons. So do women. You should have asked, "why do people cheat?". That would be a much better question. I could sit here and list hundreds of reasons why they do. None of them would be good reasons.

Cheating is the most disgusting act of betrayal, and it doesn't matter what the person's reasoning is behind it. It is just wrong no matter what. I have been lucky enough to have not been cheated on in my life, to my knowledge.

I think a lot of people cheat because they are already in broken relationships. That in my mind would be the number one reason.

Happy couples don't have those thoughts of infidelity. The couples that have broken or irreparable relationships are going to be the ones to think about cheating as a way to escape the problems they have.

Does that make it okay? Nope. Doesn't matter the gender. Never okay and instant relationship over in my opinion.

Because they are horny and lack self restraint. Often when a man gets into a relationship, all of the sudden, girls show him attention that he didn’t get before. It takes strength and integrity for a man not to cheat when given the opportunity.
