How to tell the guy that you changed your mind and want a relationship?

I am dating a guy for a year and half. He has introduced me to some friends and family. I have been quite reluctant and have not introduced him to anyone on my side.
But I am not quite sure what he wants and I am a bit tired and I want a something more stable. We don’t meet that regularly because of our jobs and we both have kids. I feel that things have progressed but I am wondering if he is just using me for sex and not committed ( I am clueless). I also said in the beginning that I didn’t wanted a relationship. He said that we wanted a relationship when we first started dating. But since I have been stained by men that lie a lot I always take that saying from a men with a grain of salt.
My question is How do I tell him that I change my mind, And I want to give it a try of a relationship and introduce my kid to him?

Well I would ask him out in way that he understand that it was more then just friends... then ask if he would like to go out on a second date. Then just take it from there. But do not make it come off as if you dating him because of what other men have done. That sounds too much like settling for the bird in the hand over the 2 in the bush.

When you have sex with someone you don't know, and you create soul ties and let them inside of you without qualification or commitment, it's game over. There is neither incentive or any reason for him to commit or get into a relationship because you did not enforce any boundaries.

When people lie... but you have strict boundaries, less of those lies can hurt you. But when they lie to someone that has no boundaries, those lies can destroy.

Be upfront about what you are feeling. Let him know what you want. If he wants you and wants to make you happy it should not be hard to commit plus yes if you are giving him sex then he doesn't feel the need to commit. So if he doesn't make it exclusive then you stop giving him sex

You're already in a relationship, you just need to have a conversation and tell him you like/love him and want to kick it up a Notch.

Don't say it, show it. You're showing it will say it. If you don't want to show it then you really don't mean it.

How would I show it and men see that? I have put him as priority in my life now. I was thinking of introducing him to my kid. Would that be it?
