Every day I feel like crap always seeing older men with much younger women and reading all the stuff about biology and how men prefer younger women.. I'm actually a bit scared to marry a guy my age or younger cause I fear he may leave me for a younger individual.. And I have crush on a older man but he is with a much younger woman...

Most people age prematurely because they believe the crap they have been fed. we all age, but it doesn't need to be so quickly. I'm in my mid 40's but you'd never believe it. Bear in mind that all of your anxiety will age you even faster too.. so you might as well just enjoy life. Take small steps each day to improve your thought process and your life, and then start giving gratitude for everything you have each day and everything will change.

There are probably just as many men that prefer women their own age, as those that prefer younger. Personally I find the younger ones lack substance.

31 is young. People have kids up to like 50 now. It’s the direction everything is heading. I’ve got a few years on you and I think about the same stuff. And like you I don’t really want kinds. Im just trying to enjoy life and see the world! Enjoy it! I think 30s are the best. Finally make a few dollars. Health is still good, unless for reasons other than age…. Still have time to have kids in 5+ years if you change your mind. Everyone thinks they would be further than they are at our age….. but here we are. You will be trying to figure life out until your last day on earth!

If you can find a guy that will be with you and wants a family, I doubt he would leave for someone younger. Usually the ones that want someone younger, especially for having kids, wouldn't date someone in the first place if they thought she was too old.

Then the kind of guys that would date you wouldn't be so concerned about age anyways. Most guys that avoid starting a new relationship with a woman past 30 are the guys that want kids. Since you don't want kids, you wouldn't be dating those kinds of guys so don't worry so much about it.

I think that stuff gets exaggerated. I was on a dating site, and the older women were popular AF. TBF, it was a sex-focused dating site, so I dunno about relationships.

But I'd think age matters more to men for sex than for long-term relationships. It can actually be hard as an older guy to relate to younger women, this doesn't matter that much for a casual relationship, but it does matter if you plan to spend your life with someone.

I don't want kids, but I wan't commitment/marriage from woman who also doesn't want kids, and if she's sterile, I get companionship, relatability, and carefree sex for life, how is that not a win?

@berethor live in Israel so you probably don't see it there, but in the US its very commonto prioritize hobbies, career, success, and love. kids not so much, most kids born here are accidents, a failed condom or birth control, which most people use.

Well, you can get one, but you need to do it while you are scared. You have fears and insecurities because getting a boyfriend means something to you. If you were not frightened, it would mean you did not care.

But since you know that you are nervous because you want a boyfriend take a deep breath and tell yourself you are just nervous. Tell yourself to claim down and go up to the guy and talk to him.

It means something to you, and that is why you will feel resistance. There is a chance you will fail and embarrass yourself, but it is better than sitting around feeling a bunch of anxiety all day. We are humans and sexual beings; we are meant to communicate with others. We are not meant to sit around and avoid each other. You have to talk to him.
