Is he interested after all?

Our first date went quite well and he asked for a second one and also added me on Facebook. But he left my messages unread for days which were responses to his question (he said he had a bad weekend), after this he finally messaged me, but left me on read for hours when I asked how he was and rescheduled our date. He haven’t messaged me since. From his actions I have the feeling that he’s not interested in me but then why did he ask me out for a second one?
