Yes I have regretted a couple times because I´m actually not very comfortable. For one I´m not good at any spontaneous activities so asking out women is something I´m terrible at.
For me one big hinderance is figuring out if she´s taken/married hence I want my partner to be loyal it seems contradicting if I try to get her by ending a previous relationship.
Another even bigger problem is, does she like me too. Because I´m too afraid of creating a turmoil and get people´s attention to the situation.
I´ve been bullied at school I´m generally not that comfortable around big crowds especially if they all look at me.
So for me figuring out if I like her, if she likes me and how to ask her out without being weird or boring or offensive generally takes too long.
I can think of two incidences the first woman I got to know at the beginning of university and she seemed shy but nice at the beginning, we had different things incommon, had a good connection and talked from time to time besides university. I never asked her out because I couldn´t figure out if I really loved her or just liked being around.
The second woman I got to know some years later where I fell for her because I liked intelligence and the way she viewed the world and was always good at connecting with people and seemed to be good at everything I wasn´t. We had also a good connection but the connect broke off and it feels weird starting things again after three years of 0 contact.
I know that the first woman is married now I´m not sure about the second.

No because I haven´t met many women lately where I´m sure they are single. Also I´m not good at flirting I still get to know people nevertheless but it´s always on a rather distant not in an intimate and deep level.
I´m often also too much in a rush or bothered with other stuff that I don´t take time to look at women on the way to work or while shopping so there´s never a real chance to flirt because a beautiful woman could pass me and I wouldn´t notice her because I´m too bothered listening to a podcast or looking in a window of a shop.

@Lotsoffull Well, women are hard to deal with anyway. So getting into a relationship isn't really winning anything. It's an adventure, sure. But it's also hard work.
So why would I invest so much effort into getting a girl to fall for me? That's like walking 10 miles for a head of broccoli.

I don't flirt because the term "flirting" by definition means:

"a sexual behavior involving spoken or written communication, as well as body language, by one person to another, to suggest interest in a deeper relationship with the other person".

We all know what "a deeper relationship" signifies.

Since I am not interested in being in a relation, I avoid conflicting situations that could be misinterpreted. Some may find flirting innocent but there is no such thing as innocence when adults start playing that game.

I want to concentrate on my studies and there is no room for flirting because it is not possible to give 100% on 2 different fronts. The one or the other will be short circuited.

Since my future is more important than a few pathetic spasms and muscular contractions, it is not difficult to make the right choice.

No. But flirting by it's very nature is deceptive. I hate deception and deceptive people. I've never regretted not flirting with someone. If her self esteem is so low that she me to fluff it then I really don't want to know her anyways.
