so I did it, and I tried to give a guy a chance previous to the person that I’m talking to now.

he was a nice guy, but he had baggage and so do I and he knew. (Emotions.) I never asked him for anything. I never asked him to pay a bill. Not even dates

all I wanted to spend time with him and clarity on where we together or not or were we building something where it was going anywhere. I knew that he that had things going on in his life I offered to help,

I just kept seeing the red flag of instability so I decided that I wasn’t ready. For a live in boyfriend But his attitude and nonchalantness made it worse.

Am I being the victim.

There is absolutely nothing wrong in have an assessment, giving him Time and Energy (a chance), and determining that you should leave the dynamic. On e can not force another to receive help anymore than one can change another through Influence. From what you said, I think you are smart and making a clear-headed decision.

I find good judgment really hot though.-I know I am strange. ;-)

No... not at all. You have great judgment !! So many people would hop in and hold on instead of stepping back and thinking through it all. Truthfully, you did the right thing for BOTH of you.
