What should I do if my boyfriend acts cold and distant, but still texts me everyday and keeps the convo going?

I've tried to talk to him about it and he doesn't seem like he wants to break up, just he has a lot going on atm and wants me to be understanding. Am I missing something?

I would take him at his word right now, and if as time goes on he starts to distance himself even more from you, then you know something may be going on with him. Sometimes people truly are busy. You never know, he may suddenly stop being distant once he sorts himself out. I'm sorry this is happening to you though, hope you two sort it out!!

When I met him last week he seemed okay in person. Now he's out of country, sorting a few things out.

We talk, just he's cold and has stopped using pet names.
