Am I wasting somebody s time not telling him what I want in a relationship (that he s not the type I want ) and just enjoy the company?

So.. here’s a guy from my workplace.
Three years younger than me. Still studying in university.
I’m pretty sure it won’t work out (I prefer mature guys and more like ready to marry..) but I like feeling someone who cares me being around.
Is that bad? Am I wasting somebody s time?
