The trip will cost you only 700 and it’s to a Carribean country but you had already planned to pay 3500 to take a course for medical assisting. You made your girlfriend a promise to go but then you changed your mind for medical assisting now feeling bad, you agree to go with your girlfriend. How would you feel? The reason why your girlfriend was crying was because she doesn’t want to be away from you for one month and their are still things that you haven’t experienced together like going to the beach etc.

If I was in your position in regards to promises made, I'd trust his judgment. That he has a good reason for not going.

As for the "he can take it anytime" part, this logic can also be said about going to the beech. The two of you can go to the beech anytime as well. In fact it might be more romantic without family in tow.

Now as for him already having his degree, I misunderstood the nature of the class, apologies for that. I thought it was part of a degree program.

Which now I will put this into perspective for you. And pay VERY close attention.

This class, I'm assuming, will help his career in some way shape or form. He obviously feels it's important and he's getting into a medical field meaning he'll most likely be in the top 20% earners in the world if he sticks to it. Hell maybe even 10%, who knows. Now ask yourself is risking a more comfortable future worth one broken promise?

Also have you asked if he's willing to take you to the beech afterwards? Heck you might be able to get the best of both worlds if you're patient.
