Should I send him a message for him to see when he gets back?

I’ve gone out with this guy for a while and it’s been going well. He went off for a week long training for the marines and can’t have his phone and texted me before he left that he misses me and wants to see me when he gets back. I don’t know if I should send him a message close to when he gets back so he can see it when he does get his phone again? And if so what to say?

Just keep in mind that he might not be the one to read the message. I'm in the Navy and have a constant issue of security reading my messages while I am out and about or in the air...
