I think visiting a park and flying kites would be a fun bonding activity - or buying candy apples from a vender and hitting each other with autumn leaves which is what I did in grade school. I would purposely pick an activity that mean people will not do such as pumpkin carving or eating apple leather or even skating at an ice rink and drinking apple cider before we go home.
