Yes I would be upset. It is a nice gesture, which very well could be platonic, but most often it is a romantic gesture of a man showing he cares for a woman. I do not want my boyfriend giving another woman that impression. However, there could be circumstances where I could accept it, such as if someone was ill/injured/elderly for instance.
