I presume that a couple, regardless of their nationality, could share the same room. This would apply to Indians just as well as to Nigerians or even Cubans or Liechtensteiners.

I am not sure what you are asking. Are you asking if it is okay for an Indian couple to share the same bedroom? If they are a couple, then sure. It is more about what you are comfortable with. I don't know why this is just aimed at Indian couples. I think this would be the same for any couple.

Now, while I have my own view on it, a lot of times religion and tradition will dictate otherwise. If you can give me some more context, I can much better answer the question.

If you are traditional Hindu and not married, you are likely to get another answer. You are also not likely going to be living with someone before marriage. It really depends on the degree of "traditional" and your family customs as to how that arrangement will work.
