Is it strange if a couple lives together if they both have their own rooms?

Like you obviously spend the night in each other’s rooms or at least initially fall asleep together most nights but some nights if u really just have different sleep schedules you each sleep in your own room. I sleep on a japanese futon on the floor in my room i hate mattresses. So i’d totally understand if i was living with a girlfriend if she had her own room cuz she preferred sleeping on a mattress.

Some people toss or turn all night, or they can snore so that the other cannot sleep. So no, it is not strange. It probably happens more than you might think. No one is going to admit it.

I only know of one couple who had this arrangement. They had 5 kids and the husband worked out of town and would either get home late or only be home on the weekends, so he had his own room in the house. I'm not sure if this couple ever slept in the same room together, but I guess that arrangement worked/works for them. 🤷‍♀️

For me, personally, if my boyfriend asked me to move in, but insisted that we have separate bedrooms, I'd think he's just in dire need of a roommate. 🤣

Not really I know a couple where the guy is a real light sleeper so she constantly wakes him up just by moving. I also know a couple who the wife makes him sleep in a different room everytime he eats onions cause he farts so much. In some relationships it's just necessary to have different sleeping quarters. Each couple has to work this out for themselves.

Nope, I think essentially it creates space needed in a relationship sometimes and allows a person to essentially have a part of the house to express their own personality. Someone’s bedroom speaks a lot about them.
