Guys, Why don’t I have a boyfriend?

I’m a senior in highschool and have never had a boyfriend. No one has expressed interest in me since freshman yr. When guys do tell me they find me attractive they merely want to hook up. I am I just not guys what guys want in a relationship?

1. Highschool teens are all about wanting sex and partying.
2 highschool boys are immature & super insecure
3. You're still young, you have a long life ahead of you.
4. Understand that if a boy doesn't want to work on himself to understand his own insecurities and toxic traits to get rid of them so he can be with you, dont continue to be with him even if you care about him.
5. Understand that being a guy being a loud, agressive, asshole is not confidence & assertiveness, it is usually a red flag for abusive. Toxic, & incredibly insecure.
6. confidence shouldn't be the only defining trait for attraction. Let his actions talk to show you if he is truly a nice guy, or if he is pretending.
7. Gifts and flirty words with no actions to get to know you, is a sign he is only interested in sex.
8. Highschool teens have a really hard time admitting their attraction to the one they like.
9. Highschool teens are super fickle when it comes to their feelings of attraction.

Perhaps if you gave us some ideas that describe you that would give us some thing to react to. If that isn’t in the cards, my advice to people your age remains you have a lot more important things going on right now than dating, and you don’t really have to make any final decisions until 23 or so, that being the case I think the more important decision you need to make as a senior in high school is what is the next career step, is that getting a job? If it’s getting married then you need to accelerate your dating timetable considerably, but if it’s not getting married, and it’s not getting a job, then you should long since have been worrying about what your next academic step is. None of those worries include dating.

Guys at your age just hookup and this sucks. Everyone wants to explore. You don't have to settle for anything less. There will be a lot of opportunities at uni

Once you are out of high school and can go with guys a few years older and more mature you should be able to find someone that wants something more serious instead of just wanting to use you for casual sex.
