Girls, Do dates come before getting to know someone?

If I walk up to a girl I don't know should I ask her out or get to know her first. I'm a junior in high school by the way I don't know anyone since I'm at a new school and I'm a little shy.

Anyone asking another person on a date before even knowing that person comes across as a perv. At least that is how I perceive it and how I would react to such an approach.

To me, it is obvious from the start that this person is only interested in getting into the pants of the victim since he does not seem to be interested in knowing her personally. Once he has obtained what he wanted, she will obviously be dropped like a hot potato.

I would not even want to talk to such a person because I am fully aware what the intentions behind approaching a total stranger is. It is basically only the testosterone doing the talking and not the human being.

If you are a little shy, then certainly don't approach a girl for the sole purpose of dating because we all know what "dating" means. Approach her because you want to know her and not because you want to date her. Those are 2 totally different things.

Get to know her first. She'll like that you want to know more about her than just her appearance.
