If a girl doesn't reply back to messages or does it very late?

If a meeting was setup between a guy and girl by their common friends...

They meet for sometime , had very small talks , they did exchange numbers.

After sometime the guy messages her. Hi/Hello/ How was your day etc etc... to which she replies very late or sometimes no reply.

He asked when can he call... to which she says whenever you want to. But also says she's sleepy at the moment. So he doesn't call her obviously.

So she just doesn't reply back to a simple Hello, how was your day/what are you doing etc.

So what does this all mean?

Maybe she's kind of shy. She likes him hence she's shy and doesn't gets words to talk

She's a shy kind of girl who might open up with time. He should not give up. He needs to put more efforts

She's just not interested in him. It's very clear. He should forget about her and stop messaging/calling

Those are rather boring questions especially if it's a regular thing.. She's lost interest if you're doing this. I will only give someone a few times to send me a "how are you" text especially if we've been communicating several times a week.. I mean I understand that's a conversation starter, but it needs more depth to the messages. Also, I get the feeling she kind of wants you to take control.. It's kind of like the common, "I made reservations for us to eat at _____. I'll pick you up at 7:00." (after you know her availability) Versus "hey are you busy tonight" some seem more like you're going to try to hook up versus you're actually trying to get to know her. Does that make sense?

But if it's initial conversations... and it's not like they're chatting several times / days a week.
It's just initial chats.
And she gives such one liners , boring kind of replies and doesn't talk any further. Then?

And they're living in different cities now
