Is it weird if a 24 year old woman wants to date a single father who's 33 years old?

I met this guy from bumble and I didn't expect I'd go for someone this much older but we've been hitting it off so far and have a date Saturday. I'm 24, he's 33 but he looks really good for his age honestly. He is a single parent of a boy who's 4. I like children so it's not a problem. I know I'm only 24 but I am seeking something serious and I dont see myself as too young for something like this.

Sorry if I confused anyone by how I interpreted my question but he ONLY has ONE kid who's 4 years old and he was never married to the mother, only in a relationship but they've been separated for awhile now. I only have thought of why he wouldn't of went for a woman more his age since they'd be in similar places in life but I do want something long term. Im a girl who doesn't party or anything and he doesn't mind me being almost 10 years younger.

TBH that sounds great! I mean Yea there is a bit of an age difference but not enough to worry about id say and if you like him and the kids too than this just sounds dynamite to me. Besides I'm also very close with a couple who have I think more than 20 years age difference and you know what? They have the healthiest marriage I've ever seen I think. Sometimes age really is just a number as long as it's legal age. Happy for you!

Thank you sooo much! I felt a little crazy at first or worried if it’d be a concern but we seem like we connect well so far over text so hopefully face to face it’s just as good or even better. He only has one son who’s 4 and has told me he would like more in the future or it said on his dating profile but absolutely. I like children and I desire to be a mom someday:) I am 24 too it’s not like I’m barley 18, I’ve had some relationship experiences myself.

The age difference is fine, but the 4 kids is a pretty major endeavour, especially when they're not yours. The mother could be an issue here too.

Nah. That’s not much of an age difference especially once you get into your mid-30s and he’s 45 probably looking like he’s 39 while you’re 35. You probably wouldn’t get very many people wondering why you’re dating someone so much older.

I get that but my friend was in her 20s when she met her fiance in his 30s and now she's in her 30s and he's in his 40s and their getting married.

How big is their age difference? And the problem isn’t that you are younger, it’s that he already has a family. you and he are most likely in different places in life.

Obviously you didn't read my question right... he only has ONE kid who's 4 years old and him and the ex are separated. She only is there to see their son but no he only has one kid and he's not married or with her anymore he never was married to begin with he was only in a relationship before.

I read your question just fine. Lots of divorced people only have one kid; that doesn’t make what they have any less of a family.

Okay I'm sorry I just thought I confused you too. I apologize! Yeah he wasn't married but he was in a relationship with the ex whom is the mom of his child but he expressed wanting more kids in the future and I like kids too and if we got serious would love to have one someday together.

It’s just a precarious situation in general for you. A lot of girls in your situation get used. I know you’ll do whatever you’re gonna do, regardless of what I advise l, but I would recommend finding someone else
