Are you supposed to text each other right after the date?

I just a had first date with the guy I'm seeing right now, a very nice date. I didn't know what to do so I kissed his cheek at the end and we hugged...

Now I'm home and I don't know what to do, I'd like to see him again like right now lol Am I supposed to text him / call him or do nothing to not seem as a weirdo?

I would say as a man, but honestly it does not have to be the man that does it first, if your interest you need to be texting him/her within the first 24 hours.

If I think the date went great, then I usually text her the day of the date, after I get home. I thank her for the great time, and I hope we can do it again, if she is interested.

If I am not really sure how good or bad the date went, then I text her the morning of the next day after the date. I basically say the same thing, but I only waited for the next day to do it... because I would like her to text me first so I can gauge if she felt it was worth following up on. But if I want to see her again I always text with the first 24 hours, regardless of what she does.

If she never replies, then that is that I move on. If she does reply but doesn't seem interested in scheduling another date with the next week or so... then I assume she is either playing hard to get, or she is not interested. And if she is interested, she better be texting me or talking about what she would like to do on a second date. Whenever more than 24 hours goes by without a response... for me I take that as a sign and move on. Because if she is really interested, she would text... and if she is too busy to text, or if she is trying to downplay her interest or if is waiting on me to text a 2nd or 3rd time... all red flags to me and I move on. That type of behavior is what we call "playing games" and I don't have time for that, even if she does not see it that way. They often want to say they were just so busy, and they were not intentionally meaning to ignore you by not replying, but they were so busy... but honestly even if your busy we are talking about taking less than 5 minutes to say your busy but will get back to you as soon as you can. So, its BS to me, if you are seriously that busy then you obviously are in a place to be dating or you are just not really that interested. I have no way of knowing if you seriously that busy or not, but again a text takes like too minutes.

So bottom line regardless of what he does, if you're interested you should probably be texting him within the first 24 hours. If more than 48 hours goes by and you haven't heard anything from him... then write it off as a loss and move on. Trust me I have been through the ringer with women, anyone that does not text within the first 24 hours of first date never works out. I have tried and they end up being losers.

He's supposed to text you by now and "Did you make it home safely? had fun... Again soon?" You are supposed to go Definitely !! and if the bar is still open then name, see you in15 minutes. See him at bar, "not ready for it to end yet"

Yea as long as it is not late at night. Do what you feel like doing. If you feel like reaching out then text or call depending on which you feel like doing. If you don't feel there is anything to talk about or nothing you want or need to say. Then say nothing

in my opinion, don't worry about rules when it comes to dating. Do what feels right. As long as you respect their boundaries, it can't hurt to ask if they're up for chatting or hanging out some more. You could always phrase it in a way that lets them off the hook easy if you're worried that they won't have the confidence to say no otherwise. Maybe something along the lines of "Hey. Too tired to chat for a bit?"
