Why do some women think that they can put their needs first while also expecting her man to put her needs first?

This is very one sided. What is he getting? Okay if you wanted to say fine we should both put ourselves first or if you expected the other to value you while you value them. That is fair enough.

There are men like this too don't get me wrong. But it seems some women wonder why they can't keep a guy and he leave her for someone else. But she also wants her needs first both as for herself and her man.

Not saying she does not even care to some degree about his wants or needs she only cares more about herself

Thank you for not generalizing women. It is refreshing to see a normal non agressive question about women. You are right. This is hypocritical. If you want your man treat you like a queen, then treat him like a king although leaving/ divorcing someone should not be that easy. If I have the feeling that my potential husband does not care about my needs, I would talk to him, communicate, or even go to couple therapy aka do everything I can do.
(If you get cheated on or get abused by your partner, then you immediately should leave him of course.)

Sure there are some traits that are negative that are typically one sex or the other (but not always) but not all of them.

Yeah, it's sad that there are people like this. But to answer the question: For the same reason a man will be like that. Self-centeredness, immaturity, a sense of entitlement. Though sometimes they're just clueless, and you can bring it to their awareness. In this kind of situation, it's the same reasoning behind it with both sexes. Women and men are different, obviously, but we are the same in lots of ways as well.

If this question comes from personal experience, I'm sorry you've had to have a partner like that. It can be very damaging.
