Got it from some girl that was fucking everything in sight. I didn't know about it until after it happened. Shittiest part was it was my first time and I got this. I've been depressed over it and really feel like Im not going to find a girl I actually love. Scared its going to be someone I just put up with to have a family if I even decide on kids. Since I got diagnosed its making me rethink if its a good idea. I dont want to give my kid what I have and them have the same problems I am now

There are very few people in the world who don't get herpes. Calm down. That's for the beginning. Secondly, it won't pop out if immune system is fine. It may though when you catch a cold or something like that. Thirdly, herpes is not AIDS, neither you, nor your wife or kid will die from it. Oh you didn't say which type you got. @Asker It’s not your fault for getting an STD. And with the right medication and precautions (condoms) you can still have a fulfilling sexlife. I read that 1/4 have genital herpes. Don’t let it stop you from living your life. There are medications and I read you were unsure about having a wife and then herpes being passed on and stuff and I did a quick Google research, turns out medications can help suppress the virus and that the virus gets less aggressive over time, like smaller blisters and stuff. I’m not as educated about herpes as I should be but I highly encourage you to do all the research you can and not be ashamed of it. There are a lot of people on this earth living with various STDs including herpes and still have normal functioning lives.
