I’s chickenpox a type of herpes?

My boyfriend went to check himself on Tuesday and his doctor told him it was chicken pox and prescribe him pills to take 2pills 5Xs a day for a week. I was wondering if I can still have sex with him is it safe? How serious is chicken pox. I have vaccine since I was baby.

Yes it is a type of herpes technically. You should probably keep some distance between him because even if you are vaccinated it is still possible for you to contract it.

No it's not herpes but chickenpoxs are highly contagious. And can take lot out people the older they get. Most people get them as kids

Don't have sex with him. Chicken pox vaccines can only prevent you from 10-20 years.
