Is this guy into me or not?

So I went on this date with a guy I was texting for awhile. He asked me out of nowhere to go for food and I said yes.
So he booked dinner in this really nice restaurant and picked me up and he paid for it too.
He seemed like a really nice guy.
So as he was driving me home I had the fear as I knew from previous dates with other men they would want to make out with me or kiss me before I go in side.
But this guy didn’t do that and I was kinda shocked about it tbh and told me it was lovely meeting me and I was like you too but I was a bit awkward and shocked because I was expecting something to happen and it didn’t.

Now I know I didn’t want to make out or kiss but just I’m so used to that happening.
So I can kinda walked away really confused.
I kinda felt was I rejected? Lol
I never felt this way after a date.
He texted me after the date and said he had a nice time and that I was really good looking but I thought maybe he was just being nice.

He still talks to me since the date but like it’s like just chit chat like is he friend zoning me or what like he’s not making it clear to me what his intentions are is he into me or not?
Lol and it’s driving me up the wall 😂

Not kissing after the date doesn't necessarily mean he isn't into you. He could just be more chivalrous than other men you've met. But if he asked you out on what was very clearly a proper date, then maybe he wanted to see how he would feel taking you out, to test his own feelings. And the fact that he isn't giving you clear signs he likes you could be because he's undecided himself.

Exactly. It helps if he feels like you don't care whether you're friends or more than friends. Takes the pressure off him and helps him connect with any potential feelings he may have. But also even if he gains feelings doesn't mean they'll stay. So there's also that to bear in mind.

Yup. Go with the flow and don't put any expectations or pressure. If you have a time limit for him to make a decision that's good. But keep it within yourself and then if he doesn't make a move quietly move on.

Well yeah because I’m a really shy and awkward with that kinda stuff until I get to know you so i am glad but just felt confused as no matter what the guys before always did that to me
